Impello Global is a trade finance advisory boutique headquartered in Seattle, Washington. We specialize in brokering trade credit and political risk insurance and provide advisory services to companies and lenders who are looking to expand their global trade capabilities.

 

We are expanding throughout the US and are looking for highly motivated, corporate Business Development Executives to hunt for and close new business, as well as retain and grow key clients. This is an exciting time to join Impello Global as we are expanding quickly with open positions in the following markets:  San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, Denver, Salt Lake City, Chicago, and Seattle/Portland. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES   

 

The ideal candidate is a motivated, organized, and creative individual who welcomes the challenges of acquiring and developing new business through sales efforts. You will prospect for new business, build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and close business deals while maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions. 

 

You will be expected to perform the following:

  • Achieve annual revenue objectives through consultative sales to new clients and renewal of existing policies.  

  • Marketing and selling a specialized financial product (domestic and export credit insurance) to corporations within an assigned region.

  • Build an active pipeline of qualified prospects, generating leads from banks and insurance agencies, accounting firms, and from direct cold calling to business owners and CFO's.  

  • Cultivate strong business relationships with key decision-makers  

  • Presenting risk mitigation and financing strategies to leading executives within these companies

  • Diligently document all client activity, notes, and prospect data in appropriate systems

  • Obtain necessary insurance licensing 

 

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate must possess the following:

  • Minimum 7 years’ proven experience selling B2B financial, banking, or insurance solutions

  • Proven track record in client acquisition, as well as retention

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 

  • Disciplined approach to account management

  • Robust network in the assigned region

  • Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated, as well as work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business
