Ed began his career as a Credit Analyst at HSBC Bank in New York, then joined FCIA Management Company, a well-known credit insurer, advancing to Senior Underwriter and structuring credit insurance solutions for SMEs, Fortune 500 corporations, and banks.
He later joined International Risk Consultants (IRC) as a Partner, where the team drove annual growth of 20–40%. In the late 1990s he relocated to Hong Kong to establish IRC's Asian operations — expanding into Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Beijing, building a regional team of 15, and launching partnerships in Singapore, Tokyo, and a joint venture in Mumbai (IRC India).
As a member of IRC's U.S., Global, and Asian Boards, Ed helped shape the company's international growth strategy and its eventual sale to JLT in 2019. He then served as CEO of JLT's U.S. Credit and Political Risk business and as Managing Director at Marsh, where he sat on the U.S. Executive Committee.
Ed brings decades of global experience in risk, credit, and trade finance to Impello Global, where he is focused on driving the company’s next phase of growth. Based in New York, where he was born and raised, Ed enjoys theater, live music, Citibiking, and running on the beach with his rescue dog, Rocco.
