Jeramie Maxwell
Jeramie has spent his entire career in the trade finance and trade credit insurance industry. Prior to founding Impello Global in 2017, Jeramie managed Wells Fargo's structured trade finance, cross border lending, and EXIM Bank short, medium, and long term programs for the West and Mountain regions and worked with companies throughout the US to help expand and finance their businesses globally.
Jeramie's experience in the trade finance industry is unique. Having worked as a lender, advisor, and broker, he has a reputation as someone who works outside of the box to help his clients improve and grow their business. Whether its a small business insurance policy or a billion-dollar cross-border loan facility, Jeramie's done it.
Jeramie, an Ohio native, credits his time at university in London for opening his eyes and moving to San Francisco for expanding his mind. He now lives on Bainbridge Island with his wife, Ali, and their two sons, Mason and Oliver. In their spare time, you can find them on their boat somewhere in Puget Sound.
Trish McCarthy
Trish has 35 years of experience in the international trade finance and credit and political risk insurance industries. Prior to joining Impello Global, Trish held executive leadership roles with Marsh JLT Specialty, International Risk Consultants, US Bank, PNC Bank, and Chase/Bank One.
Trish has a reputation in the industry for being honest, clear, and sincere which helps her enjoy long-term and strong relationships with clients and underwriters. With experience in both international letters of credit and export credit insurance policy compliance, Trish has the ability to teach customers how to use these risk mitigation tools to help them grow sales and get paid.
Trish, a native of Dayton, Ohio, relocated to Boise, Idaho in 2020 with her husband Tom, where she enjoys hiking, reading, environmental activism, and becoming an engaged member of her new communities.
Matthew Handwork
Matt brings extensive structured trade finance knowledge gained through senior leadership experience as a partner with International Risk Consultants, a trade specialist at the US Commercial Service, and most recently as Senior Vice President of Political Risk and Structured Credit with Marsh JLT Specialty. Known in the industry as direct, straightforward, and clear, Matt believes in developing longstanding relationships and working collaboratively to create innovative solutions.
Matt specializes in structuring medium-term, import, pre-export, and supply chain financing solutions for manufacturers and lenders with support from Export Import Bank of the US and private insurers. His ability to manage transactions from underwriting and deal packaging through documentation and claims management enables Matt to work with clients from start to finish on every opportunity.
Born and raised in Ohio, Matt spent summers cycling across the Midwest and Europe with student groups and fishing in Canada, sparking a lifelong interest in traveling, learning, and engaging globally. He currently resides in Columbus, Ohio with his wife, Leanna, and their two children. In his spare time he enjoys traveling with his family, reading, and cycling.
Anthony Wiles
Anthony has 20+ years’ experience evaluating, recovering, and protecting business-to-business credit sales. Prior to joining Impello Global, Anthony was a Business Development Executive with Coface, a leading global trade credit insurance provider. Prior to Coface, Anthony spent 17 years with Seafax, Inc., where he evaluated business creditworthiness as a Credit Analyst before joining the commercial collections team where he was responsible for collecting millions of dollars in delinquent debts.
Anthony works closely with middle market and large corporates in sourcing and implementing customized trade credit insurance programs and structured finance solutions.
A native to Maine, Anthony resides in Yarmouth with his wife and two daughters where he enjoys participating in recreational sports leagues, fishing, hiking, and coaching youth sports.
Enereida Flores
Ene has 5 years experience in public accounting with a focus on financial reporting, audit, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Impello Global, Ene worked with Carr, Riggs & Ingram Accounting firm, before founding and growing a regional tax preparation firm.
Ene is part of the Global Advisory team where she works closely with lenders, underwriters, and manufacturers to implement structured finance solutions to support capital equipment exports globally.
Ene was born and raised in Mexico and now lives in South Texas, where she met her husband and they are now parents to a beautiful baby boy, Matias. She enjoys going back to her hometown and spending quality time with her family.
Jack Johnstone
Jack has been in the credit insurance business since 1987, when he and Rob Downey founded International Risk Consultants, which became one of the largest specialty trade credit insurance brokers in the U.S.
In 2019, after IRC was sold to Marsh, and with their agreement, Jack formed JZJ Insurance Services, Inc. to work with a portfolio of smaller IRC clients. In 2025, JZJ merged with Impello Global in order to combine a number of highly skilled trade credit professionals.
Prior to founding IRC, Jack worked for the Ohio International Trade Division. He has a background in mathematics (B.A., Pomona College) and musicology (M.A., San Jose State University, and Ph.D., Ohio State University).
Olev Viro
Olev Viro began working in trade credit insurance with International Risk Consultants (IRC) in 2008, becoming a partner soon after. Following his time at IRC, Olev joined JLT before opening the doors with Jack Johnstone at JZJ Insurance Services in 2019. He was pleased to reunite with former IRC colleagues at Impello Global in 2025.
Olev quickly found his niche on the client service side, working closely with SME clients, learning their businesses, and supporting and engaging them with their trade credit policies.
His portfolio includes many long-time clients and users of short-term credit insurance issued by private sector insurers, as well as a significant number of public and government programs issued by the Export-Import Bank of the United States.
Olev came to this industry a bit differently. After 25 years as a full-time violinist with the Columbus Symphony and as Music Director of a community orchestra, he welcomed and embraced the challenge of something new and different. After living in Columbus for 40 years, Olev returned to the state where he grew up. In 2022, Olev and his wife, Jean, moved to upstate New York, settling in the Saratoga Springs area to be near their grandchildren.
When he is not helping clients with credit insurance, Olev can be found playing in orchestras or engaging with local non-profit boards. In the fall of 2025, he will be launching a new orchestra as Music Director, and during the warmer months, you can often find Olev and Jean paddling on the lakes near Saratoga Springs.
Pavana Stetzik
Pavana is a finance professional with a unique blend of expertise in trade credit insurance, financial management, and a rich background in the arts. Currently serving as Controller, Pavana has a keen eye for managing financial operations and ensuring the health of business portfolios in dynamic environments. Specializing in trade credit insurance, she effectively navigates complex risk management strategies and provides clients with invaluable insights to safeguard business interests and support strategic growth.
Before transitioning to finance, Pavana pursued a successful career in arts administration, where she developed a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities involved in managing cultural organizations. She also spent years as a performing musician, gaining a lasting appreciation for the arts and the power of creative collaboration. This perspective continues to inform her professional approach today. Pavana’s diverse skill set gives her a unique perspective on financial leadership, balancing analytical precision and creativity with a focus on long-term, sustainable outcomes.
In her spare time, Pavana continues to engage with local arts organizations, pursuing opportunities in both musical performance and administration. Living with her husband, Tom, and their cats in a peaceful country residence outside of Columbus, Ohio, she enjoys gardening, nature photography, and cross-stitching.
