Matt brings extensive structured trade finance knowledge gained through senior leadership roles — as a partner with International Risk Consultants, a trade specialist at the U.S. Commercial Service, and most recently as Senior Vice President of Political Risk and Structured Credit with Marsh JLT Specialty. Known as direct, straightforward, and clear, he believes in developing longstanding relationships and working collaboratively to create innovative solutions.
Matt specializes in structuring medium-term, import, pre-export, and supply chain financing solutions for manufacturers and lenders with support from the Export-Import Bank of the U.S. and private insurers. His ability to manage transactions from underwriting and deal packaging through documentation and claims lets him work with clients from start to finish on every opportunity.
Born and raised in Ohio, Matt spent summers cycling across the Midwest and Europe and fishing in Canada, sparking a lifelong interest in traveling and engaging globally. He lives in Columbus, Ohio with his wife, Leanna, and their two children, and enjoys traveling, reading, and cycling.
