Trish McCarthy
Senior Account Manager, Impello Global
Trish McCarthy has been with Impello Global since June 2020, working closely with clients and underwriters to manage short-term trade credit insurance programs. She brings more than four decades of experience in international trade finance and credit insurance, having built her career in the industry since 1984.
Before becoming a trade credit insurance broker in 1999, Trish spent 16 years in the international banking divisions of U.S. institutions — including U.S. Bank, Chase, and PNC — delivering trade services to importers and exporters. She was then a part-owner of International Risk Consultants, a Midwest-based global trade credit and political risk specialty brokerage, for 20 years, until its acquisition by Marsh.
Based in Boise, Idaho, Trish manages a large portfolio of Impello's short-term, multi-buyer accounts receivable insurance programs. With deep experience in letters of credit and export credit insurance compliance, she is known for helping clients use risk-mitigation tools to grow sales, manage risk, and recover claims. Outside work she enjoys the hiking trails around Boise with her dog Ernie, audiobooks, and traveling to see family and friends.
